Suriname
South America
Suriname is Dutch-speaking with the PSA route open to anyone of Surinamese descent, granting five years of visa-free entry and the right to work with no permit needed. But treaty Article 19 gives Suriname the exclusive right to tax a Dutch private pension once you are resident, at rates running up to 38 percent, turning what looks like a pension move into a tax increase rather than a saving.
